At CORAL & CO., we often say that details aren’t just important; they’re the entire point. In the world of luxury events and brand activations, it’s the seemingly small, intentional touches that truly elevate an experience and create lasting memories. For Glasshouse Fragrances’ 20th-anniversary celebration, Flight GF20, we meticulously wove a narrative through every element, no matter how subtle.
Here are a few micro-moments from this extraordinary event that made a macro impact, proving that good taste is always in the details.
The journey to Flight GF20 began not at a physical check-in, but with a captivating digital invitation. Guests received an interactive video invite, where a golden boarding pass swooped gracefully across a sky-filled screen, leaving a “20” cloud formation in its wake. This wasn’t merely an email; it was their first-class ticket, a dynamic and beautifully branded prelude that immediately immersed them in the “Glasshouse Airlines” narrative. It’s these initial, striking touchpoints that set an exclusive tone and make an event feel truly unforgettable.
As guests ascended to the main event space, a custom airline announcement, recorded by Glasshouse Fragrances’ founder Nicole Eckels herself, played in the lift. This wasn’t just a fun touch; it was a brilliant use of audio to maintain immersion and build anticipation. Her familiar voice, perfectly timed to their arrival, made every guest feel personally welcomed onto Flight GF20, a testament to thoughtful, full-sensory design.
The journey from the lift to the main venue was transformed from a simple walk into an interactive brand experience. We custom-decalled a mirrored hallway with “boarding gate” directional signage. Each mirror became a portal to a different year in Glasshouse Fragrances’ history, showcasing key milestones and original artefacts. This elegant and understated display turned a transitional space into a captivating brand gallery, building excitement while subtly reinforcing the brand’s rich legacy.
Even the bar menus became part of the narrative. Crafted from bright acrylic, they were playfully titled “In-flight Refreshments” and “Your Drinking Destination.” These weren’t just functional; they were deliberate nods to the airline theme, ensuring that even the act of ordering a drink contributed to the overall immersive experience. It’s a perfect example of how branding can be infused into every single guest interaction.
Overlooking the Melbourne cityscape, the outdoor deck featured 400 Tahaa Affair candles arranged on mirrored plinths. The use of mirrors was a crucial detail. Rather than simply placing candles, the mirrored surfaces created an illusion of infinite reflections, making the candles appear to float and glow with an otherworldly light. This choice added a layer of visual sophistication and amplified the signature scent, transforming a simple candle display into a breathtaking, multi-sensory installation.
The staff, dressed in sleek black, were given custom-designed, bright-coloured airline neck scarves, subtly branded with the event logo. This seemingly small detail instantly elevated their appearance, transforming them into a cohesive “airline crew” ready to assist guests on their first-class journey. It ensured that every touchpoint, including human interaction, seamlessly integrated into the event’s theme.
At CORAL & CO., we believe that true elegance is found in the thoughtful orchestration of every detail. The power of a truly unforgettable event lies in these intentional moments that elevate a brand story. If you’re ready to create an experience that is not just seen, but truly felt, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
